West St. Paul Nursery welcomes children between 3 and 5 years of age. Through play, children learn about themselves and the world around them.

The school operates from mid September to mid June. The three classes operate as follows:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m
Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Tuesday, Thursday - 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m

9:00-10:10a.m.
12:30-1:40 p.m.
Arrival and free play. The children and co-teacher parent arrive. Children are free to play.
Free Play and Creative Time. The children are free to play in any of the interest centers. Small groups work with the teacher and parent helper at the craft tables. Children are encouraged to assist in tidying before moving to a new activity.
10:10-10:40a.m.
1:40-2:10 p.m.
Wash Up Time and Snack. The children are asked to wash before snack. Snack is served at the snack tables with the help of the “Star of the Week” child (Each child gets a week of being the “Star of the Week” beginning in January where they bring in their favorite story, picture and toy). Children are expected to tidy their own snack dishes.
10:40-11:00a.m.
2:10-2:30 p.m.
Circle Time. Children sit around the carpet area where a story is read to them and they sing songs. The story or song usually pertains to the theme for the month.
11:10-11:30a.m.
2:40-3:00 p.m.
Outdoor Play. Weather permitting, the children put on their outdoor wear and go outside to play on the playground. Self help in dressing is always encouraged. If it is too muddy, rainy or cold, the children participate in the gym.

Dismissal – BEING LATE IN PICKING UP YOUR CHILD MAY RESULT IN A $5 FEE
